It’s Time to Share!

In celebration of Pastor John Gropp’s 50th Anniversary of Ordination, we would like to compile greetings, stories and memories for Pastor John and we need your help! What would you like to share with Pastor John? You are welcome to participate in any or all of the following 3 ways:

All submissions are due by June 21, 2026.

If the Spirit is giving you a nudge or you’re at all thinking, “I have something to share and maybe I should do this,” please accept this encouragement to participate. And of course, a video can include more than one person, if you like. If you’re tech-savvy, why not offer to video people in your family or congregation? Perhaps interview them. Use your creativity. And if you’re writing something, the format is up to you. Write a letter to Pastor John; write a prayer of thankfulness to God for Pastor John’s ministry; write a poem; share memories of big things; share memories of little things; write from the perspective of a news reporter or a church historian. You get the idea—share from your heart and be as creative as you like.

Instructions for Recording & Submitting Your Video

As you record, all videos should be made:

  • On a computer or cell phone

  • With clear, bright light

  • Phones should be in landscape mode (sideways) not portrait (up and down)

  • Please upload the resulting video to Google Drive and share with Kalee at hear2helpduq@gmail.com

  • Please name your file Video50 your name

  • Please share your video by June 21, 2026 so Kalee is able to edit them together for a final production.
